Hon’ble Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed public meetings in Burwan and Ranaghat, West Bengal on Sunday. Shri Nadda criticized the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government for fostering anarchy in the state and shielding terrorists. During the event, BJP State President Shri Sukanta Majumdar, State Vice President Shri Sanjay Singh, Berhampore candidate Dr Nirmal Kumar Saha, Ranaghat candidate Shri Jagannath Sarkar were present on the stage.

Shri Nadda stated that the excitement, enthusiasm, energy, and happiness among the people, indicating that they have made up their minds to elect Dr Nirmal Kumar Saha and Shri Jagannath Sarkar as MPs. This election is not just about electing them as MPs; it's also about fulfilling the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' set forth by PM Shri Narendra Modi. In the past 10 years, under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, the nation's mindset, culture, work ethic, and even the definition of politics have undergone a transformation. Previously, politics revolved around caste-based considerations, but now it's all about development.

Shri Nadda stated that Bengal, which should have progressed rapidly, has been hindered under Mamata Banerjee's rule by corruption, lobbying, and mismanagement. Mamata Banerjee's administration tarnished Bengal's image and mismanaged it to such an extent that the state's condition deteriorated significantly. We've often heard that what Bengal thinks today, the country thinks tomorrow. Once counted among the progressing states, Bengal has unfortunately faced defamation and misgovernance under the TMC government in recent years, leading to a sensitive state of affairs. On one hand, under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, BJP aims to establish a robust government. For this purpose, BJP needs Dr. Nirmal Saha to become the MP, ensuring a firm governance under PM Shri Modi.

Hon’ble BJP National President stated that, while we advocate for a 'Majboot Sarkar' (strong government), Mamata Banerjee talks about a 'Majboor Sarkar'. Her administration is characterized by appeasement, discrimination, and a soft stance towards terrorists, sympathizing with them. In contrast, under PM Shri Modi's leadership, we have formed a strong government that delivers a fitting response to Pakistan by entering their territory. During the UPA tenure, there were instances where terrorists were invited to the Prime Minister's office, which exemplified a weak government. In contrast, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have witnessed a strong and decisive government. Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee sacrificed his life for the cause of one nation, one symbol, and one law. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi fulfilled this vision by abrogating Article 370, thereby unifying Kashmir permanently with India. Under the weak governments of the UPA and TMC, corruption was rampant. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government was strong and resolute, and throughout its tenure, there wasn't a single case of corruption.

Shri Nadda highlights that while economies of developed countries like America, Europe, Japan, Russia, and Australia have shaken. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India stands firm and has taken a leap from the 11th to the 5th largest economy. With Dr. Nirmal Saha becoming MP and Shri Narendra Modi returning as Prime Minister for the third time, India is poised to become the 3rd largest economy. India is making significant strides in various sectors. It has surpassed Japan to become the third-largest automobile producer. India ranks second in the pharmaceutical industry, offering some of the most effective and affordable medicines. Export figures have soared, increasing by 138 percent. The petrochemicals sector has witnessed a notable growth of 106 percent in exports. In the manufacturing of toys, India now holds the third position globally. Moreover, with the ‘Made in India’ initiative, mobile phones are being manufactured domestically.

Hon’ble BJP National President highlighted that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a vast network of roads has been constructed across the country over the past decade. Approximately 55 thousand kilometers of new roads have been built, alongside the laying of 51 thousand kilometers of new railway lines. The BJP government has focused on strengthening villages, uplifting the poor, marginalized, and oppressed, while also empowering youth, women, and farmers. Paved roads have extended to over 2 lakh panchayats, while more than 1.5 lakh villages have been linked with optical fiber. During the Congress era, a mere ₹2 lakh were earmarked for the development of a Panchayat, whereas today, the BJP government allocates ₹5 crore annually for each Panchayat's development. Through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, free food grains have been distributed to 6 crore people in West Bengal and 80 crore people across the nation. But the TMC leaders even pilfered the rice allocated to the public by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Through the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, the BJP government has directly transferred ₹6,000 annually to the accounts of 11 crore 78 lakh farmers, including 40 lakh farmers from West Bengal. Mamata's government had initially deprived 70 lakh farmers of this central scheme, but under pressure from the BJP government, farmers started receiving the benefits of this program.

Shri Nadda stated that, there was a time when villages lacked electricity, clean water and adequate food, and the poor couldn't even dream of owning a proper house or accessing healthcare. However, under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, significant progress has been made. Within just 1000 days, 18,000 villages have been electrified, benefiting 2.5 crore households under the Saubhagya Yojana. 11 crore households now have access to tap water through the Jal Jeevan Mission, with 61 lakh tap connections provided in West Bengal alone.

Hon’ble National President Shri Nadda stated that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 4 crore pucca houses have been provided to people, out of which 52 lakhs were built in West Bengal alone. Mamata Banerjee did not provide utilization certificates; she embezzled the funds in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Despite the BJP's efforts to extend the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to West Bengal, the Mamata-led government obstructed its implementation. Mamata Banerjee's refusal to implement the nationwide provision of ₹5 lakh financial assistance under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana for combating severe illnesses has resulted in injustice to countless individuals in West Bengal. It's crucial for the Bharatiya Janata Party to win the upcoming assembly elections to ensure the people of West Bengal can avail themselves of the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. It is imperative for the Bharatiya Janata Party to emerge victorious in the upcoming assembly elections to ensure the people of West Bengal can access the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has consistently championed the Ayushman Bharat initiative, and it will continue to be provided under his leadership. The BJP has pledged to provide healthcare facilities worth ₹5 lakh to all individuals aged 70 and above, regardless of their caste, religion, or income group.

Shri Nadda emphasized that the Prime Minister has also ensured justice for West Bengal while advancing the development work. There has been a significant increase of 287% in the state's share of taxes, facilitating the progress of West Bengal. Additionally, grants-in-aid provided by the central government have been augmented by 268% under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. For Kolkata's Smart City project, ₹940 crore have been allocated. Additionally, an AIIMS has been established in Kalyani, West Bengal, and a total of 11 medical colleges have been built in the state. Development has been advanced on all fronts, reflecting a comprehensive vision for progress.

Hon’ble BJP National President urged the people to vote for Dr. Nirmal Saha, who embodies a clean and honorable image, to win the election. By defeating Mamata Banerjee, they must make her realize her misrule. Mamata Banerjee initially came with the slogan of 'Ma, Mati, Manush', but the current situation raises questions about the fulfillment of that promise. The way Mamata Banerjee has protected Shahjahan Sheikh, who is accused of committing atrocities against women in Sandeshkhali and disrespecting their dignity and honor, is very unfortunate. Despite having a female Chief Minister in West Bengal, the ongoing oppression against women here is deeply shameful and concerning. TMC workers are engaged in looting and exploitation, and they have been implicated in seizing the land of impoverished individuals. In the Mamata government, no work gets done without money and bribery. Hindus and Christians who suffered persecution in Bangladesh sought refuge in Bengal, Shri Narendra Modi initiated the process to grant them citizenship and Mamata Banerjee opposed this. Mamata Banerjee's administration is marked by appeasement, discrimination, and a lenient approach towards terrorists, which has led to sympathy towards them. The BJP opposes this stance. Congress party appeases its Muslim vote bank by reserving quotas for SC, ST, and OBC for a particular religious group. Congress party, TMC, and CPM are working together to weaken the nation without leaving any stone unturned.

Shri Nadda appealed to the people of Berhampore and Ranaghat to stand with nationalist party BJP and cast their vote for Dr. Nirmal Kumar Saha and Shri Jagannath Sarkar by pressing the 'Lotus' symbol.
