Salient points of speech of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji while addressing public rallies in Janjgir-Champa and Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh

The overwhelming public support in Janjgir-Champa and Mahasamund of Chhattisgarh is a testament to the anticipated victory of the BJP-NDA in 2024

************

Even post-independence, Congress, which fragmented the nation along religious lines, has been practicing appeasement since its inception. Appeasement is in the DNA of Congress. Appeasement is ingrained in the DNA of Congress, to the extent that it won't hesitate to strip away the rights of Dalits, backward classes, and tribals if it serves their agenda of appeasement

************

Before 2014, for nearly 60 years, the same Congress family either directly or with remote governed the nation. Congress has consistently thwarted the increased participation of Dalits, backward classes, and tribals. Now, Congress has initiated another significant political maneuver

************

Firstly, a Congress MP from Karnataka suggested that South India should become a separate country. Now, Congress candidates in Goa are claiming that the Constitution of India does not apply to Goa

************

Congress has faced rejection by a significant portion of the country, prompting them to attempt to establish isolated enclaves within the nation itself. Today, Congress Candiate rejecting the Constitution in Goa, then they might extend this approach nationwide in the future

************

The situation for Congress is dire; in Delhi, where the royal family resides, they are not even fielding a candidate, resulting in no prospect of votes for their party this time around

************

Congress and development cannot coexist. Wherever Congress has held power, violence and corruption have surged. The link between Congress and violence? It's corruption

************

To conceal its corruption, Congress resorted to promoting violence, while people continued to lose their lives, Congress focused on enriching itself. The BJP government has effectively tackled both corruption and Naxalite violence in Chhattisgarh

************

Naxalism is rapidly declining in Chhattisgarh now. No one desires their children to remain poor, but the actions of the Congress royal family have perpetuated poverty

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed mega public rallies in Janjgir-Champa and Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh on Tuesday and criticized the INDI alliance, labeling Congress as anti-Dalit and anti-tribal. Hon’ble Prime Minister underscored the accomplishments of the BJP government over the past decade and reiterated the pledges outlined in the BJP's manifesto, urging once again for the formation of a Modi government in the country. During the event, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Chhattisgarh Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary, Janjgir-Champa candidate Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, Raigarh candidate Shri Radheshyam Rathiya, Raipur candidate Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, Mahasamund candidate Smt Roop Kumari Chaudhary, Kanker candidate Shri Bhojraj Nag and other leaders were present on the stage.

Shri Modi recalled his previous visit during the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, where he sought blessings for BJP candidates and thanked the people for their support and spirit of service. Shri Modi stated that he has returned once more to seek their blessings for a third term for the BJP government, 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Viksit Chhattisgarh'. Despite the progress made in the past 10 years, there is still much work to be done. PM Shri Modi mentioned that the Congress government in Chhattisgarh hindered his work in the state, but now with Shri Vishnu Deo Sai as CM, he plans to resume those initiatives. He emphasized his relentless dedication to serving the people for the past 10 years without taking a break. While others may work primarily for their children and family, for Modi, the people of the country are his family.

Hon’ble Prime Minister urged the people of Chhattisgarh, who often acknowledge his work, to take just an hour out of their day to vote for him on May 7th. He called for strong support for Janjgir-Champa candidate Smt. Kamlesh Jangde and Raigarh candidate Shri Radheshyam Rathiya, urging voters to send them to Delhi to strengthen India. In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections held on April 19, the people of the country voted in favor of BJP for a strong government. Meanwhile, there was a contentious situation within the INDI alliance, as seen in a rally held in Jharkhand where individuals resorted to physical altercations, resulting in torn clothes and head injuries. More than half of the leaders who attended the first rally of the INDI Alliance were absent from their last rally. The condition of Congress is so dire that even members of the royal family in Delhi are unable to find a Congress candidate to support in their Lok Sabha constituency. Given this lack of trust even in Delhi, how can Chhattisgarh trust those whom the capital has abandoned? Shri Modi expressed his confidence in the people of Chhattisgarh, noting the resounding chant of "Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar" echoing throughout the state.

Targeting Congress for doing appeasement politics, Shri Modi said that Chhattisgarh possesses the power of steel, the power of coal, and abundant reserves of forest wealth. With such potential, Chhattisgarh can play a significant role in accelerating the journey towards ‘Viksit Bharat’. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highlighted the devoutness, bhajans, dedication to Shri Ram and love for nature within the Ramnami Samaj. He mentioned that the Ramnami Samaj had predicted the date of the inauguration of the Ram mandir 150 years ago. The BJP government initiated the opening of over 150 crore Jan Dhan accounts across the country. Over the past decade, the Modi government has directly transferred more than Rs 34 lakh crore into the accounts of the public. Bharatiya Janata Party has fulfilled the dream of building the Ram Mandir that the people of the country had almost forgotten. Congress leaders used to mockingly say, ‘Mandir Wahin Banayenge Par Tarikh Nahi Batayenge.’ The BJP extended an invitation to the Congress for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla, providing them with the date and time. However, displaying arrogance, the Congress rejected the invitation. This rejection is not just a snub to the event but also an insult to Chhattisgarh, the revered birthplace of saints like Mata Shabari and Shri Ram. Since the very inception of independence, the Congress has been engaged in appeasement politics and has often resorted to dividing the country along religious lines.

Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that appeasement and vote bank politics are ingrained in Congress' DNA. Shri Narendra Modi highlighted that Congress would even strip away the rights of Dalits, backward classes and tribal people without hesitation for the sake of appeasement. In contrast, the BJP follows the mantra of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas', focusing on the welfare of the poor, youth, women, and farmers. Shri Narendra Modi pointed out that Congress promoted the slogan of ‘Garibi Hatao’ for 60 years but only enriched its own leaders. In contrast, he connected with the people and lifted 25 crore individuals out of poverty. The BJP's ‘Neeti’ and ‘Neeyat’ for the welfare of the poor are correct and when the intentions are right, the outcomes also align. The Prime Minister of the Congress government had acknowledged that out of every ₹1 sent from Delhi, only 15 paise reaches the beneficiary, with the rest lost to corruption. However, despite this acknowledgment, the Congress government failed to take concrete steps to reform the system. Upon assuming power, the Modi government promptly took action to curb corruption, shutting down the avenues for corruption.

Shri Modi emphasized that the BJP's track record over the last 10 years demonstrates consistent delivery on its promises. For instance, in Chhattisgarh, even though water was available, farmers produced less due to limited procurement, low prices and delayed payments. However, the BJP government led by Shri Vishnu Deo Sai in Chhattisgarh made significant progress when it came into power. It cleared two years' worth of outstanding payments to farmers, purchased every acre at record MSPs and distributed ₹45,000 crore to farmers in a short time. The state also met its guarantee to tendu leaf collectors. Additionally, thousands of farmers in the state received ₹7,000 crore from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and it is ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ that these payments will continue to support farmers in the future.

While discussing the work done towards women empowerment, respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the BJP government is working to increase women's participation in agriculture. Modern techniques like drones will lower farming costs and the upcoming drone revolution will be led by women. Through the NaMO Drone Didi scheme, women are being trained as drone pilots and given expensive drones. Chhattisgarh's Mahatari Vandan Yojana is widely discussed across the country for its direct monthly support to lakhs of women. It is Modi ki Guarantee that 3 crore women will now become 'Lakhpati Didi'. Under the NaMO Drone Didi campaign, women involved in self-help groups will receive direct benefits. Under the Modi government, Chhattisgarh has seen significant development, including the establishment of five new medical colleges and the provision of electricity to every home. Infrastructure projects such as the doubling of the railway line between Belsunda-Raipur, the construction of an economic corridor, and the improvement of highways are also underway, contributing to the state's progress. In Janjgir-Champa, nearly 50 thousand pucca houses have been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, around 2 lakh new water connections have been provided through the ‘Har Ghar Jal Yojana’ and approximately 3 lakh women have received Ujjwala connections. Shri Narendra Modi conveyed that for him, the people of the nation are his family. The BJP now plans to maintain the free ration provision under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for the next five years and include every elderly person over 70 within the Ayushman Bharat scheme. During the Congress era, infrastructure development in tribal areas was neglected. With the BJP government, there's a promise of accelerated progress. If elected for the third time on June 4, Modi guarantees rapid expansion of road, rail, irrigation, and internet connectivity in the state.

Shri Modi emphasized that the Congress, during its tenure, has consistently obstructed development. He asserted that Congress and development are incompatible, as wherever Congress held power, violence and corruption flourished. During Congress rule, violence persisted in the North East states, and Maoist and Naxalite violence escalated in Chhattisgarh. The Congress's deep-seated corruption fostered a connection with violence, leading to loss of lives while the party prioritized filling its coffers. The BJP government has undertaken efforts to diminish Naxalism in Chhattisgarh. Modi assures that Maoism and Naxalism will be entirely eradicated from the state under his governance.

Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted that before 2014, the Congress party, dominated by one family, governed for almost 60 years. Congress never aimed to increase the participation of Dalits, backward classes and tribal communities. However, after the BJP government took power in 2014, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, belonging to the Dalit community and for the first time since independence, a tribal woman, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, were made Presidents of the country. The Congress, opposed to tribals, objected to a tribal woman becoming President.

Describing Congress as dynastic and anti-constitutional, Shri Modi said that initially, a Congress MP from Karnataka suggested creating a separate country in South India and now a Congress candidate from Goa claims the Indian Constitution doesn't apply there and has been imposed on Goa. This is an insult to Baba Saheb Ambedkar and the Indian Constitution. Previously, leaders in Jammu and Kashmir had similar views, but removed Article 370 and now the Indian Constitution is enforced there as well. A Congress candidate from Goa conveyed that he shared this with his leader and Rahul Gandhi's silence suggests he supports the statement. Congress has been rejected by much of the country, so it aims to create isolated pockets within the nation. Today, Congress denies the Constitution in Goa, tomorrow, it may deny the Constitution across the country. Congress lacks a vision for the nation and doesn't know how to improve the lives of the poor. Shri Narendra Modi emphasized that under Congress rule, those who couldn't read English were barred from becoming doctors, engineers, or scientists. However, he has established that anyone can now pursue their desired career by studying in their mother tongue.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji emphasized that while he talks about building ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’, Congress denies the existence of such an initiative. PM Shri Modi reiterated his dedication to giving global recognition to the Kosa Silk of Chhattisgarh, hence advocating for "Vocal for Local" initiatives. The Modi government has initiated the Vishwakarma scheme, worth ₹13 thousand crore, for the Vishwakarma community in Chhattisgarh. Prime Minister Janman Yojana, with an estimated cost of around ₹25 thousand crore, is being implemented to uplift the most backward tribes in Chhattisgarh. Despite threats from the Congress to harm Modi for his service to the poor, the protective shield of the nation, its people, stands firm. While Congress leaders have insulted Modi, Sahu and the entire OBC communities, the BJP has granted constitutional status to the Backward Classes Commission and implemented OBC reservation in medical education. Congress leaders may threaten to harm Modi, but in the face of the blessings of 140 crore countrymen, even death must wait a long time. This isn't merely anger towards Modi; these individuals are shaken by the power of the public vote. Their agitation stems from the swift investigations into scams such as the Mahadev scam, liquor scam and recruitment scam. Shri Modi stated that while I say ‘Bhrashtachar Hatao’, they say ‘Bhrashtachar Bachaao.’ When people from SC-ST and OBC categories are taking over the reins of the government, Congress sees democracy in danger.

Shri Modi highlighted that the Congress has been repeatedly accusing the BJP of intending to abolish the Constitution for the past 30 years. However, the truth remains that not even Baba Saheb Ambedkar, has the power to change the Constitution. The vote cast for the INDI alliance is insufficient to form the central government, whereas the vote for BJP NDA will pave the way for ‘Viksit Bharat’. Hence, it's imperative to ensure the lotus blooms at every polling booth. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi once again appealed to the nation to vote for the BJP and form a government with a significant majority, thus contributing to the construction of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
