Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh addressed a public meeting in Alipurduar, West Bengal on Sunday. During the event, Alipurduar Lok Sabha candidate Shri Manoj Tigga, Kalchini MLA Shri Bishal Lama and other leaders were present.During his address Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh criticized the misgovernance of the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted the BJP's commitment to fulfilling all promises made in its manifesto.

Union Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized the sanctity of West Bengal, highlighting its association with revered figures like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Swami Vivekananda, and freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Shri Rajnath Singh also noted that Pandit Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the first president of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, hailed from West Bengal. Despite many years of independence, West Bengal has not achieved comprehensive development. The Communist and TMC regimes have governed through misinformation and deception. However, the people of West Bengal have resolved that BJP will secure the majority of seats with overwhelming support. Shri Rajnath Singh expressed confidence that the people have made up their minds to secure a clear majority in the upcoming assembly elections and form the government.

Shri Rajnath Singh mentioned that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is dedicated to the development of West Bengal. However, the Trinamool Congress seems reluctant to support this development. It appears that TMC fears that if PM Shri Modi's successful initiatives uplift West Bengal, the people may align with BJP, undermining TMC's political agenda. During the rule of the Trinamool Congress, law and order in West Bengal has deteriorated significantly. Without ensuring the safety of citizens' lives, development becomes an uphill task. Shri Singh urged the people of West Bengal and emphasized the need to elect BJP MPs with a decisive majority. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that once the BJP forms the government in the assembly elections, they pledge to bolster law and order. Shri Singh assured that under BJP's governance, the homes of criminals will transform into jails, leaving no room for any criminal activity.  Shri Rajnath Singh criticized the Trinamool Congress, highlighting widespread corruption under their rule, including bribery in various sectors like ration distribution and teacher recruitment. Shri Shah mentioned the teacher recruitment scam where the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized assets worth ₹3000 crores. Shri Singh pledged that under a BJP government, strict action will be taken against the corrupt, and those involved in recruitment bribery will be compelled to return the ill-gotten gains to the public.

Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh criticized the Trinamool Congress, accusing them of using goons to instill fear among the public, resulting in an atmosphere of chaos in West Bengal. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted the atrocities against women persisting despite the state having a female CM. He emphasized that while other political parties may ignore such issues, the BJP is committed to taking a stand against them. Shri Rajnath Singh noted that for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, honoring women holds immense significance. Despite promises from Congress and other governments regarding 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament, none have fulfilled it. However, under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP government has accomplished this significant feat.

Shri Rajnath Singh accused the Trinamool Congress government of securing votes from illegal infiltrators in West Bengal by enrolling them as voters. Shri Singh emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party will thoroughly investigate this matter. This is why the Parliament passed the Citizenship Amendment Act. Under BJP's governance, there will be investigations into individuals who have obtained citizenship illegally. Congress has contributed to the confusion surrounding the Citizenship Act. It's important to note that no Indian citizen will lose their citizenship because of this law. However, stringent action will be taken against individuals who have obtained citizenship unlawfully. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that the Trinamool government's tactic of blaming Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for every issue is no longer effective.

Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized India's rapid progress and heightened stature on the global stage under PM Shri Modi's leadership. Previously, India's views on global forums were not taken seriously, but now, when India speaks, the world listens attentively, thanks to PM Shri Narendra Modi's leadership. Congress and Trinamool Congress have made false promises to eradicate poverty, yet their governance has only worsened the plight of the people. Former Prime Ministers like Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi also pledged to eliminate poverty, but none succeeded. But, under the BJP government led by respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the BJP government's effective response has garnered appreciation globally. Shri Singh criticized the Trinamool government for attempting to create irregularities in the distribution of this essential aid. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted the transformation of Madhya Pradesh from a BIMARU state to a significant contributor to India's development under BJP rule. Shri Singh also noted the rapid progress of Uttar Pradesh. Shri Rajnath Singh praised the scientific achievements of Bengal's scientists and acknowledged the talent of the people of West Bengal. However, Shri Singh lamented the lack of opportunities under the Trinamool Congress's governance, hindering the state's potential for growth and development.

During the Russia-Ukraine conflict, PM Shri Narendra Modi secured a ceasefire and safely evacuated Indian students from the affected regions. These events underscore India's growing stature on the global stage, with many acknowledging that the 21st century belongs to India.

Union Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized the importance of maintaining India's nuclear capabilities, contrasting it with the alleged stance of the leader of the INDI alliance, who purportedly suggested abolishing nuclear weapons. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted the BJP's track record of fulfilling its manifesto promises, including the abolition of Article 370, which granted Jammu and Kashmir the same status as other states. He stated that upon forming a government in West Bengal, the BJP would implement the Uniform Civil Code, underscoring the party's commitment to its agenda. Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that despite opposition claims of BJP deceiving the public with the Ram Mandir issue during elections, the BJP government has overseen significant progress. He noted the auspicious development of Ram Lalla transitioning from his hut to the grand Mandir, symbolizing the beginning of Ram Rajya in India under BJP governance.

Shri Rajnath Singh criticized the Congress Party, highlighting the prevalence of terrorism during its tenure. In contrast, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the BJP government, the Indian Army has taken decisive action against terrorists, including carrying out surgical strikes and air strikes. Shri Singh expressed frustration at the opposition's demands for proof even in these instances of national security operations. Shri Rajnath Singh declared that the time for the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal has passed. He underscored the BJP government's commitment, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, to non-discriminatory governance, prioritizing justice and humanity over caste, creed, or religion. Shri Singh criticized opposition parties for engaging in caste-based politics to secure votes, contrasting it with the BJP's focus on developmental politics aimed at advancing the nation.

Shri Singh noted that PM Shri Narendra Modi has received highest honors from five Arab countries, indicating international recognition. Shri Singh appealed to the people to elect Shri Manoj Tigga as the Lok Sabha candidate from Alipurduar with a resounding majority and once again make Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister for the third time.
