Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh addressed a public meeting in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. During the event, BJP District President Shri M.Nagraj, Krishnagiri Lok Sabha candidate Shri C Narasimhan, and Tiruvannamalai Lok Sabha candidate Shri A Asvatthaman were present. In his address, Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted PM Shri Narendra Modi's various developmental initiatives, including advancements in defence and cultural preservation. Shri Singh criticized the DMK and Congress for hindering state development and involvement in drug-related issues. Shri Rajnath Singh expressed his pleasure to be at Krishnagiri, renowned for its rich culture and vibrant community. As the Defence Minister of the country, he took pride in being in the land of valorous warriors Raja Raj Chola and Rani Trichola, who are recognized for their exemplary contributions in enhancing India's military and naval capabilities.

Shri Rajnath Singh mentioned that special prayers were conducted at the Sandur Mariamman Mandir on the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of Shri Ram Mandir, along with organizing a food donation program. When the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Mandir was about to take place, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with full reverence, listened to the recitation of Kamba Ramayan at the Shri Rangnathan Swamy Temple in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, the same place where the renowned poet Kamban recited it.

Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted the close connection between Tamil culture and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, evident from the fact that when a new parliament was built in the country, symbols of justice, freedom, and culture, including the Sengol symbol, were established there in accordance with Tamil Nadu's traditions. Today, whenever Tamil Nadu is discussed across the nation, the term "Sengol" is the first to come to mind. Shri Rajnath stated that until September of the previous year, very few people outside Tamil Nadu were familiar with the term "Sengol," but now, every aware citizen of India is acquainted with it. Shri Rajnath Singh mentioned that in India's parliament, often referred to as the "Temple of Democracy," Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi not only acknowledged but also honored Tamil culture by establishing the symbol of Sengol, thereby recognizing Tamil Nadu's contribution to Indian culture. Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has not only popularized Tamil culture in India but also globally.

Union Defence Minister mentioned that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi initiated the organization of the Kashi and Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam events, marking the birthday of the great poet Subramaniyam Bharti on December 11th, declared as National Language Day. Additionally, the establishment of a Tamil study center at Banaras Hindu University was also initiated.  Shri Rajnath Singh mentioned that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the 74th United Nations General Assembly in Tamil. Inspired by the ideology of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the theme of the event was prepared, named "One Family, One Future." The objective of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is to promote Tamil language and culture not only in India but also at the international level. Bharatiya Janata Party has pledged in its manifesto to establish the recognition of various Indian cultures worldwide. India has entered a new era of resolutions during the era of independence. After 75 years of independence, development in India under the governments of the opposition has been very slow, but under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government of the BJP has witnessed unprecedented progress in India, and new dimensions of success have been established in India in the past decade.

Shri Rajnath Singh stated that in 2014, the Indian economy was ranked 10th globally, but under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has now become the world's fifth-largest economy. Economists worldwide believe that by 2027, India will reach the third position in the global economy. India's economy is growing at the fastest pace globally.

Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted the rapid growth of the banking system in India. He noted that in 2014, over 92% of mobile phones in India were imported, but today India stands as the second-largest manufacturer of mobile phones globally, after China. Additionally, India has emerged as a leading manufacturer in the defence sector, meeting its requirements without relying on other countries. The country now ranks among the top 25 defense export nations globally, with exports soaring from a mere ₹600 crore in 2014 to ₹21,000 crore. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that India has been listed among the limited countries that have 5G technology, and when the nation is in rollout with 5G, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been working on the expansion of 6G in state. India also has the cheapest data service in the world. In 2014, the broadband connectivity in India was only 20%, which has been increased to 80%.

Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that through JAM- Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and Mobile, over ₹20 lakh crore were successfully transferred to the bank accounts of poor people, farmers, and laborers last year, utilizing Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanisms without any corruption. Shri Singh noted that in the previous government, only 10-12 KM roads were constructed per day, but today, more than 37 to 40 KM roads were constructed on a daily basis. There were only 74 airports before 2014, which has been increased to 148 airports. Shri Singh stated that before 2014, there were only 7 AIIMS in the country, but today 22 new AIIMS were either built or under construction.

Union Defence Minister emphasized that the BJP does not indulge in vote bank politics but focuses on nation-building. Highlighting the government's efforts, he mentioned the establishment of two defense corridors, one in Uttar Pradesh and another in Tamil Nadu. Shri Rajnath Singh stressed that the government's development agenda transcends party lines and political considerations. Shri Singh noted that the youth doesn't need to seek jobs only in the government or private sectors. The government has initiated measures to foster a vibrant startup culture, creating an ecosystem where youth can become job creators rather than job seekers. Shri Singh stated that the development of Tamil Nadu is the priority of the BJP. The Central Government under Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership has approved the construction of a Defence Corridor to Tamil Nadu, PM Mitra Mega Textile Park, Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway, and Logistics Park near Chennai. Work on all these has either started or is going to start soon.

Shri Rajnath Singh stated that Tamil Nadu has the opportunity to lead India into development. Shri Singh emphasized that the DMK is merely a family-run enterprise, impeding the growth of Tamil Nadu's youth. The BJP emerges as the sole dynamic and promising option for the youth of Tamil Nadu. Shri Singh highlighted the trajectory of the current Tamil Nadu BJP President Shri K Annamalai. He was once an IPS officer but left his job to enter politics with a determination to contribute to the nation's welfare. Despite opportunities to join either the DMK or AIADMK and secure a high-ranking position, he opted for a path aligned with the future prosperity of Tamil Nadu. Shri Singh emphasized that today's youth are not interested in traditional politics; they seek a politics that ensures both their own future and the future of India and only the Bharatiya Janata Party can fulfill this aspiration. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that the DMK has predominantly offered family-centric governance and corruption to Tamil Nadu. While the BJP says nation first, the DMK says family first.

Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh stated that DMK and its INDI alliance partner Congress have taken a patent on corruption. Shri Singh highlighted recent revelations that sand smugglers have inflicted a loss of ₹4600 crore on Tamil Nadu over two years, emphasizing the magnitude of corruption prevailing in the state. Shri Singh mentioned that the Central Government sends thousands of crores of rupees from Delhi for the development of Tamil Nadu, this money also falls prey to the corruption of DMK. He added that even schools have become ensnared in the drug trade under DMK's rule. The DMK has not spared even our small children. The drug lord who has been arrested by NCRB has been alleged that he was connected with an influential family in Tamil Nadu. Shri Singh stated that for the development, good governance and all round progress, the commitment shown by PM Shri Narendra Modi in 10 years has not been seen in the last 70 years. In the 9 years of his governance, PM Shri Narendra Modi has proved his clean intention work style. One can debate on the policy of PM Shri Narendra Modi but no one can doubt his intentions. There have been constant personal attacks on the Prime Minister by opposition leaders, but they forgot the more mud they throw, the more lotus will bloom. Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that leaders of the INDI Alliance have continuously and deliberately insulted the Hindu religion and undermined the significance of 'Shakti'. In Tamil Nadu, 'Shakti' is epitomized by revered figures like Kanchi, Kamakshi, Madurai, and Meenakshi. In Hinduism, 'Shakti' symbolizes the divine feminine energy, but the DMK and Congress have colluded to diminish its importance. Their opposition to the installation of the Holy Sengol, a symbol of Tamil culture, in Parliament, reflects a deep disrespect for Hindu sentiments.

Shri Rajnath Singh alleged that the DMK has misbehaved with Jayalalitha, which showcases the real face of DMK. They also oppose the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament. Consequently, crimes against women are escalating in Tamil Nadu. On the forthcoming 19th of April, the women of this region must hold DMK accountable by voting against their anti-women stance.

Shri Rajnath Singh stated that whenever he visits Tamil Nadu, he remembers Jayalalithaa, who worked for the development of Tamil Nadu, aimed at working for the poor and giving them a dignified life. Even though Amma was the leader of AIADMK, she is highly respected by the members of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that Tamil Nadu is the land that has given India great leaders like C. Rajagopalachari, K. Kamaraj, and M.G. Ramachandran. Whether it's about institutions, honesty in politics, or their mid-day meal welfare scheme, these great leaders are very important for India. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is inspired by these great leaders and works for the weaker sections of society in the same manner. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that during the Congress regime, many fishermen from Tamil Nadu were arrested by Sri Lanka, and many times they even lost their lives. But for the first time, a government has come to power in the country that is building good diplomatic relations with Sri Lanka and using it to provide relief to the fishermen community of India. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that Congress has made many such blunders for which India has had to pay the price, and it has been necessary to provide relief to the fishermen community. INC and DMK are responsible for the injustice done to the Tamilians in Sri Lanka and the difficulties faced by the fishermen. The INC, through the India Alliance, gave away the Katchatheevu Island to Sri Lanka, but on what grounds are they claiming to fight for Tamil rights?

Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh stated that the INDI Alliance is not durable; they are quarreling among themselves even before the elections. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that the only reason INC and DMK are coming together is because they want to gain power. Shri Singh stated that the DMK and INC cannot develop Tamil Nadu nor can they rise above dynastic politics. Despite being in government for so many years in Tamil Nadu, corruption has not decreased. INC and DMK's INDI Alliance cannot strengthen India's national security; it will end after the elections. Shri Singh stated that today, many things are said about the ED and CBI, reminding the public that DMK leaders went to jail in 2011 when there was no BJP government. Today, the INC and DMK are together, but it is worth remembering that in 1997, the Gujarat INC government was criticized for criticizing the DMK from power and levying serious allegations against them. Today, both are together. Accusing the DMK and INC, Shri Rajnath Singh said that the BJP India Alliance is only a facade to oppose BJP and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted the cultural ties between Lucknow, the birthplace of Lord Rama, and Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu, built by Lord Rama. Shri  Rajnath Singh mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Rameshwaram, where he bathed in the holy water from 22 wells, symbolizing India's rich cultural heritage. Shri Singh emphasized BJP's respect for Tamil language and culture, noting that the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government officially recognized Tamil as the world's oldest language. Shri Rajnath Singh appealed to the voters to utilize their valuable votes to ensure the honest governance of the Shri Narendra Modi-led- Central government.
