Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh addressed a public rally in Arunachal Pradesh East Constituency on Tuesday. During the event, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy CM Shri Chowna Mein, Arunachal Pradesh BJP President and the party’s Lok Sabha candidate Shri Tapir Gao, among other leaders were present. In his address, Shri Rajnath Singh praised Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu for his effective leadership. Shri Singh highlighted Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's achievements, including elevating India's global standing and fulfilling every promise. Shri Singh emphasized the BJP's commitment to development in the Northeast, and its efforts in empowering women and improving infrastructure. He also asserted India's resolve to maintain positive relations with neighbouring countries while safeguarding its dignity and pride.

Shri Rajnath Singh stated that the public’s concerns are addressed by Shri Tapir Gao and are conducted with extremely effective arguments in Parliament. Shri Singh then lauded Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu for the fulfilment of his responsibilities. He conveyed that the state geographically is small but the Chief Minister there is known throughout the country as a successful Chief Minister.

Union Defence Minister stated that in the Lok Sabha elections of 2014 and 2019, under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP contested and won with a clear majority in both, leading to the formulation of the NDA government. Within 10 years, what Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has done for the country is widely recognized. Shri Singh emphasized that presently, India's global standing has significantly elevated. Formerly, where India lacked recognition on the world stage, today it commands respect. Any Indian citizen travelling abroad will witness the notable enhancement in India's prestige as perceived by people across the globe.

Shri Rajnath Singh Singh pointed out that in the past, India's voice wasn't taken seriously on the international stage. However, today, when India speaks at international forums, the world pays keen attention. The pride of every Indian has soared. Before the BJP came to power in 2014, the Congress government had ruled for consecutive 10 years. The contrast in the actions of both administrations is evident to the public. Before 2014, a considerable number of Indians lived in poverty, but due to PM Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty within a decade, as asserted by NITI Aayog and various renowned institutions. Today, compared to ten years ago, the people of Arunachal Pradesh can feel the transformation in their state. Most world leaders predict that the 21st century belongs to Bharat.

Shri Rajnath Singh stated that the Indian Navy officers faced a severe legal issue in Qatar after retiring, Singh mentioned that after their conversation, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi persuaded the President of Qatar to release all eight former-Indian Navy servicemen, who were facing false allegations. This incident exemplifies India's global stature.

Shri Rajnath Singh stated that there has been a conflict between Russia and Ukraine for the past two years, with missiles being fired from both sides. Many Indian students were studying MBBS, engineering, and management in Ukraine. Saving the lives of these students amidst the conflict was a challenge. Shri Singh emphasized that the parents of those students began requesting PM Shri Narendra Modi to save their children's lives. Everyone thought this task was impossible because it was a matter between two countries at war. However, Shri Narendra Modi’s  efforts were such that he made phone calls to Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and with the President of America, Joe Biden. Then, for almost four hours, the war was halted, and nearly 22,500 Indian students who were studying there returned safely.

Union Defence Minister highlighted that from a geographical perspective, Arunachal Pradesh is the first state of India, it is the land of Baba Parshuram, and the starting point for Bhagwan Surya's blessings in India. Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that the Congress government had been in power in Arunachal Pradesh and other northeastern states for quite a long time, and they have consistently neglected these regions. However, for the first time, Shri Narendra Modi is the leader who has genuinely addressed the concerns of the North-East. PM Shri Narendra Modi’s profound respect for the northeastern states is evident in his recognition of the region's 8 states as "Ashtalaxmi". Shri Singh conveyed the belief of Shri Narendra Modi, that if the development of North-East is prioritized, it will undoubtedly raise India's stature. He added that it wouldn't be inaccurate to say that the development of the people of Arunachal Pradesh will happen when trade and tourism relations with South Asia and East Asia flourish. The Northeast serves as the gateway of India to South Asia and East Asia.

Shri Singh stated that in the past, many leaders made promises they didn't keep, but Prime Minister Shri Modi is a leader who follows through with his words in his actions, with no disparity between them. Everything that was promised in the BJP's election manifesto has been fulfilled. On the other hand, parties like Congress and NCP deceive the public through their manifestos. Once they come into power, they forget their promises. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that in its election manifesto, the BJP had promised to revoke Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, which granted it special status as a state. This promise has been fulfilled, as witnessed by the entire nation. He then emphasized that the BJP had pledged to build an auspicious mandir for Bhagwan Ram in Ayodhya, and the public had seen the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla on January 22nd. This marks the commencement of Ram Rajya in the country.

Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that the BJP has fulfilled its promises and projects, such as the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act, which grants citizenship instead of taking it away as alleged by opposition parties like Congress and NCP. He urged the public to avoid being misled by such political parties. BJP had promised to abolish triple talaq, and indeed, they successfully eliminated it. He highlighted the BJP's commitment to women's empowerment and social equality, stating that irrespective of caste, creed, or religion, BJP regards every woman as a sister or mother.

Shri Singh stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, during his visit to Arunachal Pradesh, not only laid the foundation stones for various projects but also ensured their completion, unlike the Congress regime where projects remained incomplete. The infrastructural development in areas like electricity, water, roads, railways, schools, and hospitals has progressed rapidly, surpassing previous investment rates. Projects like the inauguration of the Sela Tunnel, providing all-weather connectivity at an altitude of 13,000 feet, showcase BJP's vision and execution capability. Additionally, the initiation of the Unnati Yojana with an investment of ₹10,000 crores promises accelerated development for the people.

Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that what the BJP pledges, it delivers. The investment of 10,000 crore rupees will open new job opportunities for the youth. Additionally, in Arunachal Pradesh, the BJP government has facilitated drinking water access to 45,000 families, inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The BJP has committed to empowering rural mothers and sisters by aiming to make them ‘Lakhpati Didis,’ enabling them to become owners of at least one lakh rupees under the Self-help group.

Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized that three crore women in India will be transformed into ‘Lakhpati Didis’, with one crore mothers and sisters already achieving this milestone. He highlighted the rapid development of roads in the Northeast. The Dibang Dam will become the tallest and largest dam in the country, and the longest bridge is also being constructed in the Northeast, showcasing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's attention to the region. Shri Rajnath Singh noted that under the Congress regime, there was no concept of infrastructural development, as thousands of square kilometers of land were lost to neighboring countries. The BJP government has rectified the mistakes of Congress and developed border infrastructure. The villages near the border, which Congress used to call the last villages, were recognized as the first villages by the BJP government and their development has been accelerated. The development of border villages holds strategic importance, and the people residing in Arunachal Pradesh are strategic assets for the government. Whenever there has been a conflict with China, the role of the people of Arunachal Pradesh in it is something that Bharat can never forget.

Shri Singh pointed out that China had recently altered the names of thirty places in Arunachal Pradesh on its website, but he conveyed to the neighbouring country that merely changing names doesn't alter anything. Shri Singh mentioned that such actions would only have negative consequences in the relationship of India and China. Citing a statement by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Union Defence Minister stated, “Zindagi Mein Dost Badal Jate Hai Lekin Padosi Nahi Badalte”. He further conveyed that India, driven by its principles, aimed to maintain positive and harmonious relationships with all its neighbours. However, if anyone attempts to undermine India's dignity, honour, or pride, the nation possesses the capability to respond.

Shri Rajnath Singh underscored that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has also taken a pledge of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ which signifies not just a slogan but a commitment for the BJP. Under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP-led NDA government has been steering the country forward. He urged the public to support and bless the party. Shri Singh expressed that there is trust in the people of Arunachal Pradesh because they are truly nationalists, and if anyone has the determination to sacrifice everything for the defence of the country, it is instilled within the youth residing in Arunachal.
