Salient points of Speech given by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Chamarajanagar & Udupi (karnataka)

Bharatiya Janata Party central government is committed to the development of Karnataka

*************

Hardworking people through their efforts have electrified 18,000 villages. I appreciate their efforts while Congress is doing politics over this and making fun of it

*************

BJP believes in "ease of doing business " and Congress believes in 'ease of doing murder'

*************

Congress President recently challenged me saying if he speaks for 15 minutes I won’t be able to sit in front of him. It is a big thing if Rahul Gandhi speaks for 15 minutes. How can we sit in front of Rahul Gandhi afterall he is "Naamdar" and we are "Kaamdar"

*************

Rahul Gandhi ji, I urge you to speak for 15 minutes without looking at the paper on achievements of Siddaramaiah. However, take the name of Visvesvaraya five times during your 15 minutes talk, and the public will decide what to do

*************

Leadership of Congress now a days is in such hands who do not know what is the history of India and do not take pride in national song

*************

Murder of BJP workers in Karnataka is condemnable. Such politics has no place in Indian democracy

*************

Difference in political ideology possible but there should be a decorum maintained. I have always revered former Prime Minister Deve Gowda but the way talk Rahul Gandhi has talked about him is unfortunate and condemnable

*************

Under Congress rule Indian villages could not be electrified despite 70 years of Independence

*************

Sonia Gandhi had said in 2005 that by 2009 all the houses not having electricity will be given the facility, but why was the Congress unable to do it till 2014

*************

Congress is answerable why only two villages were electrified till 2014  in Karnataka. Why were other villages let to live in darkness

*************

Mahatma Gandhi’s last wish was to see the Congress dismantle and dissolved. All states have made it possible and now it is the turn of Karnataka

*************

Siddaramaiah is scared of his defeat so contesting from two seats. His erstwhile seat has been sacrificed for his son so that even if one seat is won by father-son, their political legacy can continue

*************

Congress is habitual of politicising development and in the last four years Karnataka has suffered the loss of their negative politics

*************

Kickstarting BJP’s political campaign for Karnataka assembly polls, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that he was aware of growing fondness for BJP in Karnataka, and it was not just a breeze but a storm that is blowing in the state for the BJP.

Shri Modi said that In the entire nation, we have worked on more than 99 yojanas including water in Karnataka. In the journey of development, may it be whichever sector, the Central government is attempting to improve the lives of the people. But Congress continues to do politics in development works and has harmed the state in the last five years.

He also said that the Chamarajanagar railway line work has  not seen progress, despite all help from the Centre. People’s money should be used for people. Centre has given schemes of Rs 80,000 crore but Congress continues to do politics over it.

The Prime Minister also informed the public about Bangalore-Mysore Expressway worth Rs 7,000 crore which after completion will be a boon for the Chamarajanagar as the distance will be cut short and help in saving time and fuel and push development . However, Congress was doing politics over it through means of “Atkana, Bhatkana and Latkana”

The Prime Minister also informed the public about the successful implementation and completion of Saubhagya scheme on April 28 after Manipur’s Leisang village became the last to be electrified.

“I want to tell you that 28th April will be mentioned in golden words in the history of the country as people in tough terrains have been made available electricity which till now used to stay in darkness. Manipur and its Leisang village became the last village where after making electricity available the mission got over. But it is a shame that  Our Congress leaders and its newly elected president many a times break their limits in excitement and demean all achievements of government and its people” said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi said that while it would have been good if Congress would have appreciated the efforts for the people working for the electrification of 18,000 villages in the country, but as he (Rahul Gandhi) is Naamdaar and cannot think of kaam, so expecting anything from him is useless.

Shri Modi also said that the BJP government at the centre will not  stop at just the electrification of villages but will work fulfilling the dreams of  making electricity available in every houses which has remained in darkness.

I want to ask people who abuse us that what is the reason that despite 70 years of independence there are 4 crore houses without electricity.

We have taken the responsibility of doing things which has not been done since 70 years of independence. We have taken the responsibility of providing electricity to these 4 crore houses through Saubhagya scheme free of cost.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi hit back at Congress President Rahul Gandhi, saying that the latter can choose whichever language he wants including his mother’s (Italian) to speak for 15 minutes, and take the name of Visvesvaraya five times so that people of the state could judge the weight of his words.

Shri Modi addressing his first public rally in Karnataka ahead of the state assembly polls, termed the Congress as 'Namdaar' while the BJP and its workers as 'Kaamdaar'.

Addressing a huge public rally in Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar, Shri Modi said: “Congress President recently gave me a challenge, saying that if he talks for 15 minutes in Parliament I won’t be able to sit in the Parliament. If he speaks for 15 minutes even that is a big thing for him. He has well said that I cannot sit in front of him as he is Naamdar and we are Kaamdaar and we don’t even wear good clothes. How can we sit with him?,” said Shri Modi.

During this election campaign, whichever language he can speak , may it be Hindi, English or his mother's native language, speak for 15 minutes  to the people of Karnataka, and do a small thing , that at least 5 times take the name of Sriman Vishveshwarya. If he is able to do this much, people of Karnataka will decide how much weight his words carries.

Shri Modi also stated that he has come to know about the Kannada version of Congress politics which is 2+1 formula going on in the state. Stating that it is the political innovation of Karnataka’s CM, Shri Modi said that Siddaramaiah was scared of defeat due to which he was contesting from two constituencies, and at the same time sacrificed his erstwhile constituency for his son so that even if one seat is won, the family's legacy continues.

As far as Congress is concerned, they have adopted the formula of 1+1 which means that many Congress leaders have fielded their children and family member from various seats.

Stating that many “Kaamdar” in the Congress are also silent and not speaking anything against the party, Shri Modi said that such dynasty politics has ruined democracy both in Karnataka and the country.

Shri Modi said that Karnataka should have place for people’s politics and not family politics.

Highlighting the importance of May 1(LABOUR DAY), Shri Modi said that it was also the establishment day of Gujarat and Maharashtra. He stated that May 1 was the day signifying the hard work of people and their contributions made by them shedding sweat and blood.

The Prime Minister also hit at Congress President Rahul Gandhi for not having any knowledge about the country’s history and not taking pride even in the national song. In Fact, he also does not have idea of what is happening within the Congress party.”

It was Sonia-Manmohan Singh government who committed of making electricity available in all the villages by 2009, but as it is understood that you do not respect orders of Manmohan Singh and tear the papers of his orders. At least listen your mother’s words who had made another commitment in 2005 of electrifying all the villages by 2009.

“You were in power till 2014, why have you not been able to make electricity available. But you make fun of people who have worked so hard and worked for the people of the country. I want to talk about Karnataka, in 2014 there were 39 such villages where there was no electricity. However, through our scheme they received electricity. But in the 2014 only 2 villages got electricity and you are asking reports from us,” said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi also accused all the Congress politicians in Karnataka of having named in corruption cases. He urged the public to decide the future of Karnataka and vote for Lotus button and bring BJP to power with full majority.

Stating that corruption rises in every place the Congress comes, Shri Modi also said that the state starts witnessing family politics and blockage of development.

He also informed that in Chamarajnagar also the same problems existed as there was no drinking water, no irrigation facilities and no employment despite the mines of black granite. Shri Modi also informed about government’s special focus on the welfare of farmers, including doubling of farmers by 2022 when India completes 75 years of Independence.

“Over 14 lakh farmers of Karnataka have benefitted from PM Fasal Beema Yojana and the amount of claim has been doubled. To make farmers get the correct price, the government has decided to give 1.5 times more of the MSP so that the farmer is not looted,” said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi later during the day also addressed a public rally in Udupi, where he praised the son of land Gururaj Poojary for making India proud in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games by winning gold in weightlifting.

He said that the people in Karnataka Udupi have decided to punish the Congress and BJP will return the love from the public in the form of development to the state.

Stating that Udupi is the place that used to elect members of Jan Sangh during the municipal elections when Jan Sangh did not have its much presence elsewhere.

Shri Modi said Udupi has also given India best bankers. “More than 31 crore people were out of banking system despite so many years of independence. We opened their account and told them that it will be opened with zero balance. But they made it savings account by depositing Rs 80,000crore in total. Wonder what would have happened if the same thing happened during Independence. However, it did not happen as handful of people ruled the country and continued to keep the poor as poor.”

Shri Modi said that the Congress government has always let rich people loot the banks money while the needy youth always failed to get help from the banks. Every time the youth approached bank for agriculture, business, setting up shops among others they were asked by the banks for collaterals.

The Congress ruled for 60-70 years, the money of the bank was of no use for the youth. However, it was us (BJP) who connected it to our youth and started Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana through which 12 crore loans were granted worth Rs 4 lakh crore. Alone in Karnataka Rs 125 crore worth loans were approved which helped them in economic empowerment and also further create jobs.

Holding Congress responsible for the murders of BJP workers in Karnataka, Shri Modi asked the Karnataka government that how can they endorse violence and people be killed for having different ideology. More than two dozen of our party workers were killed just because they raised their voice for people. “Tell me friends should they(Congress) not be out of Karnataka. There is a limit to arrogance,” said Shri Modi.

He said that while India is making policies for ease of doing business, it was Karnataka who was not concerned of this but busy in “ease of doing murder”

The Prime Minister also attacked Congress President Rahul Gandhi for wrongly talking about JD(S) chief H.D Devegowda. “I want to tell that this is his (Rahul Gandhi’s) start he should learn a lot otherwise it will be a huge problem for him in future.”

He also emphasised that Mahatma Gandhi wanted dismantling of Congress which has been done well by the states, however, it was now the turn of Karnataka. “If Karnataka does it than it will have the most blessing from Mahatma Gandhi.”

Noting that crime against women in Karnataka was constantly growing, which was shocking, Prime Minister said that it is the BJP government that has decided death for rapist to ensure that culprits of daughters of India are punished in the strongest way. If we have decided it we will implement it as well.

During his address, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also talked to develop the coastal areas of Karanataka, ensure crackdown on sand mafia and create jobs for the youth once BJP comes to power in the state. He referred to investment fo Rs 1.5 lakh crore under Bharatmala which will create jobs for youth.
