Prime Minister interacts with BJP Karyakartas from five Lok Sabha seats

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today interacted with BJP karyakartas from Agra, Damoh, Karauli-Dholpur, Mysuru and Raipur Lok Sabha seats, through video conferencing. The interaction was third in the series of ‘Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot’ programmes.

Expressing happiness on interacting with the BJP workers on the eve of Navratri festival, Prime Minister hoped that the conversation would motivate everyone participating in the event to work harder for the development of the nation and the society.

The Prime Minister asserted that for the BJP, elections are not merely a means to gain power. He said that the aim of the party is to bring about a qualitative improvement in the lives of the people. Referring to the BJP governments in three out of five poll bound states, the Prime Minister said that the State Governments here have worked with dedication and commitment for the welfare of the people. He said the people are well aware that choosing the BJP will bring development, while choosing others will bring corruption. He criticized the leaders of the Congress party for their arrogance. He said the Congress and its partners are becoming desperate as they are out of power. They refuse to accept that power no longer lies with one family. They are seeking to “divide and rule.”

The Prime Minister said the BJP is party with a mission – a mission to create a New India.

The Prime Minister also remembered the contributions of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in fostering a strong nation. Comparing the creation of new states during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure and UPA’s rule, Prime Minister noted that UPA’s state formation fomented trouble and disharmony, whereas Vajpayee’s action resulted in stronger states and a stronger nation.

Shri Narendra Modi explained how he has hosted leaders from other countries, in various parts of India, in a way that showcases our rich heritage, and our modern-day strengths. He compared this with an earlier era, when India was imagined globally, as a land of snakecharmers.

Recalling the contributions of Rajmata Vijayaraja Scindia, Shri Narendra Modi urged the BJP workers to be tough and gentle, confident and humble; and committed and hardworking. Prime Minister also urged the Karyakartas to learn from Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayanan, and strive to become an ideal party worker.
