Bharatiya Janata Party's National General Secretary Shri Bhupender Yadav said that lack of ethics in Congress and the influence of corruption has increased so much that even after the decision Hon’ble High Court, Delhi in the matter of Sh Virbhadra Singh, Congress party is silent on the entire issue. He said that if Congress is left with any morality Sh Virbhadra Singh should be asked to resign immediately from his post. He said that Sh. Virbhadra Singh, who is presently the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, has allegations of corruption and disproportionate income against him since he was a Cabinet Minister in the Central Government.

Shri Bhupender Yadav said that in the initial investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation, the agency has found that Shri Virbhadra Singh has shown in his accounts (IT Returns) profit from his apple orchards during the year 2008-09 and 2010-11 to be more than Rs 6 crore, Whereas the profits in the preceding and subsequent years before that were zero. This establishes the fact that Sri Virbhadra Singh has shown the fictitious earning from his 'apple orchards' in his accounts to hide his unaccountable income.
Shri Virbhadra Singh had filed a petition in Hon’ble High Court of Delhi against the case registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation, whose verdict has come on 31-03-2017 and the Hon’ble High Court has dismissed the petition of Shri Virbhadra Singh. In its decision Hon’ble High Court has found registration of FIR to be correct and has also found the raids conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation at the residence of Shri Virbhadra Singh in order.

The Hon'ble High Court, Delhi also found that there was no ill will and political motive behind the registration of FIR against Sh. Virbhadra Singh.

Shri Bhupendra Yadav said that one can notice that fake entries have been made to the illegal contract. The Cuttings done on stamp paper register clearly prove that some entries have been done at later dates. The manner in which Anand Chauhan (Agent of Sh Virbhadra Singh) has signed on this register contradicts the signatures done on the pages on earlier dates. This proves that signatures on these pages have been done on later dates when the IT Deptt had started the action.

Therefore, Shri Virbhadra Singh has no moral right to remain as chief minister rather it is also against the dignity of public life. Shri Virbhadra Singh has now become the symbol of compromise of Congress with corruption. BJP demands immediate resignation of Shri Virbhadra Singh.
