Inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of 'Viksit Bharat' and in unanimous support of his third consecutive term as Prime Minister, a total of 19 leaders from various parties in Tamil Nadu, including former MLAs and MPs, have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. They have pledged to strengthen the BJP's presence in the state of Tamil Nadu. The event unfolded in the presence ofShri K Annamalai, MoS Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar, MoS Shri L Murugan, BJP Tamil Nadu Loksabha Incharge Shri Arvind Menon, State and Election Co-Incharge Shri P. Sudhakar Reddy, Mahila Morcha National President and MLA from Coimbatore Smt Vanathi Srinivasan, Assembly floor leader Shri Nainar Nagenthran, Former MoS Shri Pon Radhakrishnan and Incharge for state new joining and former MP Shri K. P. Ramalingam.

Shri K Annamalai expressed that today marks a great occasion for BJP Tamil Nadu. Eminent members from various political parties, having observed the nation's trajectory over the past nine years, have unanimously agreed that in the upcoming 2024 elections, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will secure a third consecutive term with a resounding mandate. All newly joined members have collectively pledged to bolster the efforts of the esteemed Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Shri K Annamalai noted that the new joinees today are highly experienced senior leaders, some with over 50 years of political involvement. Among them are those who were part of the founding of political parties in Tamil Nadu. They have assembled at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in New Delhi to join the BJP and seek blessings from our Honorable National President, Shri JP Nadda.

Shri Annamalai emphasized the significance of this moment as he, on behalf of our esteemed senior leaders present on the stage, warmly welcomed the new members. He noted their astute observation of the political landscape in Tamil Nadu. This marks a historic occasion as the Tamil Nadu BJP welcomes 16 former Members of Legislative Assembly and one former Member of Parliament simultaneously, totaling 17 individuals joining the party today. Additionally, two more former MLAs have already joined during the ongoing "En Mann En Makkal" yatra, taking the number to a total of 19 new joinees.

Shri K Annamalai introduced all the leaders who joined the party, including prominent figures such as, Shri K Vadivel, leader of AIADMK party and MLA from Karur Assembly Constituency, Shri R. Doraisamy, also known as Challenger Dorai, leader of AIADMK and was an MLA in 2011 from from Coimbatore, Shri MV Ratnam, senior leader of AIADMK party two time MLA from Pollachi assembly constituency, Shri R Chinnaswamy senior leader of AIADMK party and MLA from Singanallur in the 2006 elections and 2011, Shri P. S. Kandasamy, senior leader of AIADMK and former MLA from Aravakurichi Assembly constituency in the year 1980-84, Shri V. R. Jayaraman, senior advocate and leader of AIADMK and three time MLA from Theni Assembly constituency, Smt Gomathi Seenivasan, three time MLA and former minister of animal husbandry department, Shri Vasan, former MLA form Vedasandur Assembly constituency

Shri K. Annamalai expressed his gratitude to Shri K. P. Ramalingam, the State Incharge. He also thanked Former MoS Shri Pon Radhakrishnan and Assembly floor leader Shri Nainar Nagenthran for their efforts in aligning Tamil Nadu with the BJP. He acknowledged their encouragement and active support, alongside MoS Shri L Murugan and BJP Tamil Nadu incharge for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Shri Arvind Menon. Shri Annamalai appreciated the presence of all esteemed members and looked forward to more additions to the party, including family members, after the event.

Minister of State Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar extended a warm welcome to all the new members who have recently joined the party, expressing gratitude for their support of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He censured the opposition, accusing them of engaging in theatrical displays rather than fulfilling their duties, suggesting that their decline has commenced, leading them to resort to such antics. Minister of State Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar highlighted Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's address in the Lok Sabha, wherein he aimed for the NDA to secure 400 seats in the upcoming General Election, with the BJP expected to secure a minimum of 370 seats, including a significant number from Tamil Nadu. He emphasized that it's evident that every citizen and voter in the nation is eager to sustain the progress of the past decade: economic growth, expanding opportunities, and the governance ideology of "Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas" demonstrated by the Prime Minister over the last ten years. The government is committed to continuing this ideology for the next five years, aiming for success and realizing the agenda of ‘Viksit Bharat’ together.
