Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has succeeded in crushing the three perils of India democracy – Casteism, Dynasty politics and politics of appeasement – which were legacy of Congress’ misrule. He has started a new chapter in Indian democracy by introducing ‘Politics of Performance’. India’s young generation can take inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s book ‘Sangharshmay Gujarat’ written during Emergency which describes his struggle during that black period. It can inspire today’s youth to commit themselves for nation building. *********************** Congress is solely responsible in introducing three vices of dynasty rule, casteism and politics of appeasement in our democratic system to ensure its rule in the country by ruining our democracy and political system. Indira Gandhi is solely responsible of introducing concept of ‘Committed Judiciary’ in our system. ************* Emergency is the darkest period of India’s Independent history. BJP has decided to observe it as a ‘Black Day’ so that the citizens of India, particularly the younger generation, remain alert and vigilant and the nation never forgets the perils of Emergency. Also, no one can again dare to put India under Emergency. **************** It was Congress which curtailed Freedom of expression and basic human rights and muzzled the media during Emergency. It were the workers of BJP (then Jan Sangh) and RSS which faced maximum persecution during Emergency. Today is the day to remember and recall 19 months which our workers spent in jail and faced brutalities to save our Democracy. ************* After Independence it was Congress which made brutal attempt to demean and destroy our Democracy during Emergency. To dismiss elected governments without any reason by imposing Article 356 was started by Indira Gandhi. ************* We are very clear that under no circumstances Emergency can be imposed on the country, it all depends on the mentality of the leader which was depicted by Indira Gandhi. *********************** Those who does not believe in democracy, those who does not practice intra-party democracy are the ones who think about Emergency. It is BJP which lost government with just one vote, we lost 13-day old government, but we never thought about imposing Emergency. ************* Congress makes self-contradictory statements. It praises judiciary when an order and ruling is in its favour, but criticises judiciary when it gets unfavourable judgement. It does not even think twice before bringing impeachment motion against Supreme Court’s Chief Justice. ************* Congress makes false allegations against BJP while the fact is that it is the Congress which has always bulldozed and demeaned our Constitutional bodies and authorities. ************* BJP has never allowed political anomalies like dynasty politics, castiesm and appeasement flourish within the party. We have created a strong cadre-based party where a common worker can become party President and an ordinary worker belonging to a poor family can become Prime Minister . ************* The party which has accepted dynasty politics and has promoted casteism and appeasement can never work for making our democracy strong. ************* In any democratic system it is the programmes and policies that describes a political party and its government. Since Independence the journey from Jan Sangh to BJP has been historic where we have worked towards making strong policies for national development and have held rallies and protest to make our democracy more vibrant and stronger. ************* Under the government led by Narendra Modi is the poorest of the poor, the farmers, villagers, Dalits, tribal, women and youth who are at the centre of all our programmes. We have worked hard to ensure that benefits of all our economic and social welfare programmes reaches to the needy. ************* Emergency for us is not just a Black Day in independent India’s history. It is the day to make our younger generation value freedom and democracy and make them understand what Indian democractic system stands for. *************
