BJP President Shri Amit Shah on Saturday addressed a public rally in Raebareli, stating that Raebareli has remained deprived of development despite several big Congress leaders being elected from the place.
Stating that people of Raebareli have suffered for a long period of time due to the Congress rule, Shri Shah promised that the BJP’s Yogi Adityanath government will work for transforming Raebareli into a model constituency.
“Raebareli has seen dynastic politics till now and it is the BJP that will take it out of Dynasty politics and further take the constituency forward on the path of development.Though the Congress has ruled Uttar Pradesh and Raebareli for six-seven decades, it is the BJP which has taken the responsibility for development of Raebareli,” said Shri Shah at the rally titled Parivartan Sankalp.
Shri Shah highlighted that Congress has done 0 % development in Raebareli till date. He said that the BSP and the SP which have ruled the state for so long made the same Uttar Pradesh that was among the top states in the country to decline in terms of development and is now counted among the most backward states.
“This is the reason why in 2014 Lok Sabha polls people of Uttar Pradesh gave a huge mandate to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and due to which 73 seats out of 80 seats were won by the BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not look back in terms of developing Uttar Pradesh,” said Shri Shah.
It is due to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government that Uttar Pradesh is receiving Rs 8,08,000 crore during the 14th Finance Commission, a huge increase from Rs 3,30,000 during the 13th Finance Commission.
Shri Shah said that there were many villages in Uttar Pradesh, especially in Raebareli, where people lived in darkness. It is the BJP’s Narendra Modi government that provided electricity to such villages. It was in 2017 when the people of Uttar Pradesh gave a new responsibility to the BJP by electing the party in 325 seats during UP Assembly elections. Before Yogi ji’s government in the state, Uttar Pradesh was known for goons and their anti-social acts. However, as soon as Yogi ji’s government came, the goons started migrating out of the state and the law and order situation improved.
Shri Shah said that for the last 15 years the plight of farmers in UP was such that they failed to get fair prices for their crops despite moving from pillar to post. However, since the BJP’s Yoji government came in Uttar Pradesh farmers were provided fair prices for their crops under the initiatives of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Not just that, various developments in agricultural techniques followed by farmers were introduced by the BJP government.
Not just that, it is the Yogi government which made 1.25 lakh km roads potholes free. A special corridor has been made by the Yogi government to generate employment for the youth.
“Bundelkhand Expressway and Uttrakhand Expressway are some of the initiatives that have been taken forward by the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over 3 crore poor mothers have become the beneficiaries of LPG gas connections and at the same time over 7 crore poor people have received the toilet facilities at their home,” said Shri Shah.
Apart from that, several new initiatives have been taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi government including providing health insurance worth Rs 5 lakh each to 10 crore families and 50 crore individuals for every type of health expenditure. While farmers were depressed over inability to get fair prices for their crops, it is BJP’s Narendra Modi government that has decided to give MSP 1.5 times more than the base price incurred for crops.
Shri Shah said that he has seen that many big senior leaders of Congress have been chosen from Raebareli, but they have not done anything for the place and people.
“I used to visit Raebareli, Amethi and other places but it never seemed that big Congress leaders were chosen from this place. I want to tell you that we need to make this constituency a model constituency,” said Shri Shah.
Congress has always played the politics of conspiracy and division just to consolidate their votes. Not just that the Congress has also politicised terrorism.
Stating that a Hyderabad court has acquitted Assemand ji in the Mecca Masjid blast case, Shri Shah said that it was the Congress which during its government levelled allegations on Assemanand ji that they had done the Mecca Masjid blasts. But the court has acquitted them.
“From Raebareli, I want to ask Rahul Gandhi if he and other congress leaders such as Sushil Kumar Shinde, P.Chidambaram and Digvijay Singh to apologise to the entire nation for saffron terrorism remarks,” asked Shri Shah.
The national BJP President also said that Court had spoiled the concocted plans of the Congress and clearly said that it was a conspiracy to defame the Hindus.
Asking Rahul Gandhi to mark a limit on how low will he get in politics, Shri Shah said: “You (Rahul Gandhi) have conspired to defame Hindu culture in the entire world. It has been three days since the judgement came out but the Congress leaders have not apologised till now. I know that they won’t apologise as they are scared of losing their vote bank.”
Shri Shah said that wherever Rahul Gandhi goes, there will be a demand from the public to apologise over his Saffron terrorism remarks. “Do not think that you (Rahul) can get away through vote bank politics. Every time you will wrongfully accuse and frame someone, they will come out of it by way of judicial exoneration.”
Yogi ji has taken the responsibility of developing all the 80 districts of Uttar Pradesh and organised various types of investment summit for the state. However, I urge Yogi ji that despite the neglect of Congress leaders for development of Raebareli, it is our responsibility to transform Raebareli into a model constituency as people have remained deprived of development for a long time.
Stressing that all sections of society including tribal, poor, dalit, and youth have associated with the BJP due to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, Shri Shah stated that the BJP will get a bigger mandate in 2019 Lok Sabha polls compared to 2014.
Stating that he had just come from Karnataka where elections are scheduled in May, Shri Shah exuded confidence that on May 16th Karanataka will be the 21st state to have a BJP government.
Highlighting that it is only the BJP which has got 73 Lok Sabha seats and 325 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, Shri Shah said that Uttar Pradesh will be among the country’s most developed states when next time Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath comes to seek mandate. By the completion of 5 years, UP will be country’s number one state.
On the occasion, Shri Shah also welcomed Raebareli's political leader Dinesh Singh along with the Panchwati family and their supporters into the BJP, and said that Dinesh Singh and his family had chosen the path of truth and will contribute towards making Raebareli a model district. He also urged them to be part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development juggernaut.
