Statement issued by Shri Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister, Goa
There is a news item in a section of media that “if BJP asks me, I can think of becoming party's PM candidate.” It is an outrage that a quote was manufactured on my behalf with the malicious intent to create a controversy vis-a-vis the PM nominee of the BJP. The Bharatiya Janata Party has unanimously nominated Shri Narendra Modi as our Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP State unit of Goa during the Vijay Sankalp Rally held on the 12th of January 2014 given its whole hearted commitment and resolved to win the 2 Lok Sabha seats in Goa to ensure a decisive victory for the party under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi.
