BJYM to mark 25th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas with nationwide celebrations

New Delhi, july 24: The Bharatiya Janata YuvaMorcha (BJYM) is all poised to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas with a series of nationwide events honouring the bravery of our soldiers.

It was on July 26, 1999, that the Indian Army achieved a victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War by reclaiming our nation’s territory with unparalleled bravery and sacrifice. This Friday marks the 25th anniversary of this historic victory.

Marking the occasion, the BJYM, under the leadership of its National President Sri Tejasvi Surya, has planned activities across the country.

On July 25, 2024, a nationwide Mashal Rally will be organized across every organizational district. This rally will witness the participation of a minimum of 2,500 young individuals in each district. The Mashal Rally will commence from symbolic sites such as the homes of Kargil martyrs, Kargil veterans, and war memorials. The choice of these starting points is a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our heroes.

In each district, the Mashal Rally will culminate in the lighting of a ‘Vijay Deep’ at a prominent location. This symbolic lamp will remain lit for 25 hours, from the evening of July 25 to the evening of July 26, to commemorate 25 years of Vijay Diwas and honor the ultimate sacrifice made by our brave soldiers.

A notable highlight of the celebrations will be the participation of BJP National President Shri JP Naddaji in a key event in New Delhi. He will join the Mashal Rally at India Gate alongside BJYM National President Shri Tejasvi Surya, underscoring the party’s profound respect and admiration for the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers.

The celebrations will continue on the evening of July 26 with a public program at the location of the ‘Vijay Deep’. During this event, Kargil veterans will be

felicitated by BJYM Karyakartas. The program will feature cultural performances and motivational speeches by retired army officers and prominent public figures, celebrating the spirit of patriotism and valour.

National President Shri Tejasvi Surya has urged all BJYM Karyakartas to organize these events with dedication and respect, as a tribute to the valor of the Indian Army. “Kargil Vijay Diwas is a day of immense pride for the entire country,” he said. “These celebrations will go a long way in igniting the spirit of nationalism among the youth and will also develop a deep sense of pride and gratitude towards our armed forces. Happy to see the enthusiasm among our karyakartas in organising these events and celebrating the valour of our soldiers.”

In addition to the participation of youth across the country, several cabinet ministers will also be present at these events, lending their support and honoring the memories of the heroes of Kargil.
