Shri Rajnath Singh, National President of the BJP, has taken serious note of the comments made by Sri Yennam Srinivasa Reddy, MLA, Andhra Pradesh against Sri M. Venkaiah Naidu, senior leader in connection with bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He had directed Shri G. Kishan Reddy, State BJP Presidnet to take appropriate action against the MLA.

Shri Srinivasa Reddy later apologized for his comments and Shri Naidu asked both the National and State Presidents that there was no need to take any action against the MLA once he realised his mistakes and regretted it publicly.

Keeping the incident in mind Shri Rajnath Singh has instructed the State President to ensure that party leaders should refrain from making inappropriate and unwarranted comments in public.

Shri Singh has also taken note of the comments reportedly made by Shri P. Chandrasekhar, BJP National Executive Member for defending the MLA. He has sought a report from the state President on this issue and, upon receiving the report, will take appropriate action.

The Central party has also taken note of the threats posed by certain groups against certain senior leaders of the party and instructed them to follow party discipline and decorum. He exhorted the party cadre in the State to be mindful of evil designs of the Congress and others and not to fall prey to their tactics.

Shri Rajnath Singh reiterated the BJP’s commitment for creation of Telangana state and demanded that the interests of people in Seemandhra region should not be ignored.
