Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Pratyush Kanth addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Monday. During the conference Shri Kanth criticized Rahul Gandhi and Congress party for their alleged appeasement politics and tendency to undermine India's achievements on international platforms.  Shri Kanth emphasized the need for responsible speech in politics, citing the Supreme Court's observation on Udhayanidhi Stalin's case. Overall, Shri Kanth portrayed the BJP as prioritizing development and transparency, while accusing the opposition of having an anti-national stance and unclear intentions.

 

Shri Pratyush Kanth emphasized that many opposition parties in India are predominantly controlled by family dynasties. Rahul Gandhi, who himself is a dynast and has mastered the art of speaking without understanding anything, focuses all his attention on defaming India in international countries. Now Rahul Gandhi claimed that India’s economy and unemployment situation has been worse than Pakistan’s. With 40% of people in Pakistan living below the poverty line, making such comparisons reflects the mere understandings of Rahul Gandhi.

Shri Pratyush Kanth conveyed that behind the statements of Rahul Gandhi, lies the mindset of appeasement politics. Rahul Gandhi's thinking is that by demeaning India, by portraying the development that has taken place in the last 10 years in a negative light, he is doing a great job. But Rahul Gandhi fails to understand that today India has become the fifth largest economy in the world and in the next tenure of Shri Narendra Modi’s government, it will become the third largest economy. Be it building homes, toilets, roads, electrification, taking initiatives for the welfare of farmers, youth, and the entire system is a very thoughtful approach that the Modi government provides, but Rahul Gandhi fails to acknowledge its significance.

BJP national spokesperson Shri Pratyush Kanth stated that Rahul Gandhi travels abroad, visiting America and engaging with the youth. However, his initial focus often revolves around criticizing India. While the global community recognizes Article 370 as a significant decision under the Modi-led government, Rahul Gandhi tends to express concerns about potential unrest in Kashmir. These remarks were later utilized by Pakistan in a dossier presented to the UN. Shri Kanth asserted that India is inclusive and belongs to all its inhabitants. If Rahul Gandhi is a citizen of India, he should take pride in the country's achievements and stand against terrorism. During Congress rule, instances of terrorism escalated. Shri Kanth questioned the Congress' affinity for slogans like ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and their apparent fondness for Pakistan. He further inquired about their discussions with China and criticized their perceived disregard for the nation.

BJP national spokesperson Shri Pratyush Kanth remarked that the intentions of Rahul Gandhi and his party remain unclear, but it's evident that terrorists were content during the INC regime. Shri Kanth highlighted that not a single terrorist attack has occurred under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. India's security infrastructure has significantly strengthened under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Shri Pratyush Kanth highlighted instances where Congress leaders, such as Mani Shankar Aiyar, seek assistance from Pakistan, and Rahul Gandhi compares India's condition unfavorably with Pakistan's. He portrayed this as reflective of the party’s anti-national stance. Questioning the opposition's responsibility, Shri Kanth remarked that leaders should refrain from undermining their country's development.

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Shri Pratyush Kanth highlighted that the Supreme Court has given its observation on Udhayanidhi Stalin’s case. Stalin repeatedly insults Hindu Dharma openly. The Supreme Court's judgment stated that Udhayanidhi is not an ordinary person but a minister, he should know what he  says and what its consequences will be. The Court’s esteemed judges told Stalin's lawyer that they were misusing their rights granted under the freedom of speech and expression and religious freedom. And then approach the Supreme Court for protection under Article 32. The Supreme Court remarks that Stalin is misusing Article 19 (A), Article 25 and now seeking relief under Article 32.  This underscores the prevailing sentiment that such tactics are unnecessary in Indian politics. Each minister in the Shri Narendra Modi-led government prioritizes development and articulates a clear roadmap to demonstrate that the BJP has achieved significant milestones in development and is poised to progress further on the path of development in the future. Additionally, he mentioned that every BJP karyakarta is actively engaging with the public, informing them about the BJP's agenda and the progress achieved by the Modi-led government so far, as well as the future developmental plans.
